Chateau la Condamine Bertrand, Languedoc, France, stock photography samples, by Per Karlsson, BKWine — This is only a selection of samples. Use Image SEARCH to find more photos — Chateau la Condamine Bertrand is a wine estate in the Languedoc in the south of France. It is actually, which is not all that common in the region a real chateau, albeit a humble one and not one of the grand and splendorous kind. The domaine has been the property of the same family since 1792. Since the 1980s it is run by Bernard and Marie-Josephe Jany and more recently with the collaboration of the son-in-law Bruno Andreu.

The Chateau la Condamine Bertrand winery is located on the plains below the Cevennes mountains not far from Pezenas. The total acreage of the estate is 50 hectares of which 35 are planted with vines. They have a wide variety of grapes planted – 10 different varieties – including clairette, roussanne, sauvignon blanc, viognier, merlot, cabernet sauvignon, syrah, grenache and even petit verdot. The actual winery is in an imposing old outbuilding adjoining the chateau. They make a wide range of wines that they have grouped together in Les Contemporains, Les Classiques, Les Grandes Cuvées and Les Effigies.
