Champagne Jacquesson, Dizy, Champagne, France, stock photography samples, by Per Karlsson, BKWine — This is only a selection of samples. Use Image SEARCH to find more photos — Champagne Jacquesson is a small champagne house run by Jean-Hervé Chiquet and Laurent Chiquet. They are at the same time traditional as well as very innovative in the way they make their champagne and produce some outstanding quality wines.

They have vineyards both the Vallée de la Marne district and the Côte des Blancs. They control some 30 hectares of vineyards and source another 10 hectares from contracted growers.

The winemaking is a mix of old and new. They use both old oak vats (foudres) for fermentation as well as some smaller oak barrels. The pressing is done in two traditional vertical basket presses, one that is square and one the is round.

They make several different wines: The “700 series” which is almost a vintage champagne (but not quite), the Lieux-Dits series with wines from single vineyards with the plot name on the label, as well as a few additional special cuvées.
